Corset or corsage
We use the term corsage as a synonym for the corset, as it is often used in everyday language. Historically, the corsage is actually the looser sister of the corset.
The general term “Bodice” includes both Corsages and Corsets. Corsets are primarily used as lingerie, sleepwear or underwear, while corsets, also known as lace corsets, are increasingly used for waist reduction and waist training to shape the waist.
